DJ Hire (FAQ)
How much deposit do I need to pay?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
When is the final balance due?
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 1 week before your event.
Can I extend the DJ’s playing time on the day?
Yes, subject to the DJ’s availability. Overtime charges will apply and must be agreed before the extension continues.
Can I provide my own playlist?
Yes, you can pre-submit a playlist or let the DJ know your preferred music styles. We’ll discuss this in advance to make sure your favourites are included.
Will the DJ take requests from guests?
Yes, the DJ can take requests during the event. If you prefer a “no requests” policy, just let us know beforehand
What equipment is provided?
The DJ provides a professional sound system, DJ booth, and lighting setup. Additional effects or upgrades can be arranged if requested in advance.
What are the power requirements?
A standard 13A socket is usually required. For larger setups, additional circuits may be needed. We’ll confirm this during booking.
How much space does the DJ need?
Typically, the DJ requires a minimum area of around 2m x 2m (6ft x 6ft). Exact requirements depend on the equipment package booked.
Can the DJ act as MC or make announcements?
Yes, the DJ can make announcements, introduce special moments, or act as a host if requested in advance.
Does the DJ require a meal or breaks?
For events lasting more than 4 hours, the DJ may require a short break and a supplier meal. This will be discussed during booking.
What happens if I cancel my booking?
The deposit is non-refundable. Any additional payments (excluding the deposit) will be refunded if cancellation is made at least 10 days in advance.
What if the DJ cannot attend?
We will arrange a suitable replacement (with your approval). If no replacement is available, all monies paid will be refunded in full.
Do I need to provide anything for the DJ?
Yes, the Client must provide a safe, covered space, a working electrical supply, and confirm any setup or music requests at least 1 week before the event.
Is the DJ insured?
Yes, all DJs are covered by public liability insurance, and equipment is PAT tested for safety.
